Waldskin's new single evokes a stifling heat, a crusading atmosphere and the sand crunching under the hooves of charging destriers. The fast and peculiar groove is inspired by Balkan and Arab rhythms in a hybrid production oscillating between organic electronics elements and more conventional instruments.
The track deals with the delusions of grandeur of history’s famous conquerors and their tyrannical impulses. Their need for violence and blood is embodied by a metaphorical dragonfly creeping and growing under their skin. The theme is easily transposed to today's world, personifying the sick and chronic greed of crooked rulers.
